The North Eastern was formed on 14th April 1952 by combining two Railway systems (Oudh and Tirhut Railway and Assam Railway) and Cawnpore-Achnera section of the BB&CIR. It was bifurcated into two Railway Zones on 15th Jan. 1958 – North Eastern Railway and North East Frontier Railway. The present N. E. Railway (NER), after re-organisation of Railway Zones in 2002, comprises of three Divisions - Varanasi, Lucknow & Izatnagar. NER has 3450 route kms with 486 stations. NER primarily serves the areas of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarkhand & western districts of Bihar.

Kolkata Metro is the first underground Metro railway in India. It extends from Noapara near Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Air Port, Kolkata to Kavi Subhash station near Patuli, the busy North-South axis of Kolkata over a length of 27.223 kms. The Metro railway, Kolkata was constructed progressively from 1972 to 2013. Phase-I a length of 16.450 kms from DumDum to Tollygunge (Mahanayak Uttam Kumar) having been completed in 1995 and in Phase-II a length of 5.834 kms from Mahanayak Uttam Kumar to Kavi Nazrul station is completed in August-2009. The last leg upto Kavi Subhash a length of 2.851 kms has been opened in October8,2010 for commercial operation.On 10th July 2013, Metro services further extended from DumDum to Noapara(2.091 kms).

E-Tender- Goods and Services module: Notice for Vendors

It is brought to the notice of all Stores/ Supply Vendors that most of the tenders issued by Stores (for procurement of goods &services), Engineering (for procurement of Track supply and Track Machine items) and Medical departments (for procurement of medicines) in Zonal railways, Production Units, Divisions, Stocking Depots, Hospitals, Construction Units etc. that were earlier being published in Stores/ Supply module are now being published on IREPS- Goods & Services module.

Eastern Railway (ER) Live/Active Tenders


Eastern Railway was formed on 14th April, 1952 by integration of the East Indian Railway consisting of Sealdah, Howrah, Asansol and Danapur Divisions and the entire Bengal Nagpur Railway. Later on, the portion of BNR stretching from Howrah to Visakhapatnam in the South.

Eastern Railway (ER) publishing their supply and works tenders through IREPS (Indian Railways e-Procurement System) portal. Supply tenders are being published by Stores Department, Engineering Department, Medical Department, Depot and Divisions of Eastern Railway (ER).

Now Vendors/Contractors can view the status of their Bills online

A new feature has been provided to enable Vendors/ Contractors to view the status of their Bills for Payment submitted to Indian Railways. The status can be viewed by clicking on View Bills Status link on their Bidder Home page. Bills status can be viewed only after mapping of IREPS account with the party code allotted by Accounts department. Mapping can be done by clicking on Map Accounts Deptt. Party Code link on the Bidder Home page.
