Important notice for Vendors regarding new E-Tender- Goods and Services module

It is brought to the notice of all vendors using Stores/Supply module that we will be launching new Goods & Services module shortly, which will replace the existing Stores/ Supply module. A user manual has been prepared to acquaint the vendors with the features of the new module, which can be accessed through the User Manual for Vendors (Goods & Services) Version 1.0 link in the Learning Center. A small user guide has also been prepared to prepare the vendors for transition from the existing Stores/ Supply module to the new Goods & Services module. What is Goods and Services Tax (GST)?

It is a destination based tax on consumption of goods and services. It is proposed to be levied at all stages right from manufacture up to final consumption with credit of taxes paid at previous stages available as setoff. In a nutshell, only value addition will be taxed and burden of tax is to be borne by the final consumer.

Indian Railways: GST Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Indian Railways received queries related to GST from various Sectors, they have scrutinised all the queries and developed into short FAQs.

Q1. Can one start using provisional GSTIN till new one is issued?
Reply: Provisional GSTIN (PID) should be converted into final GSTIN within 90 days. Yes, provisional GSTIN can be used till final GSTIN is issued. PID & final GSTIN would be same.
