IREPS e-Tender: How to pay the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) in IREPS Tenders?

Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) can be paid through manual payment or exempted. Vendors can pay the EMD amount through manual payment in INR. EMD amount can be paid in parts also. Online Payment for EMD is not available currently.
  • Manual Payment: Manual payment can be made by the vendor for EMD amount through Banker’s Cheque, Cash Receipt, DD, Pay Order and Others. To submit the payment details vendor user need to select the instrument type and give the other details like instrument number, date etc. and click on submit button.

After successful submission vendor users get the receipt with transaction id and date/time for their reference.

  • Exempted: Vendor user can select the mode of payment as exempted. Registration Certificate should be already uploaded by the vendor for exemption.

Note: For Global Tenders vendors can pay the EMD in INR, USD or any other foreign currency. There will be options to choose the currency. For more details please Click Here.

    1. If you are eligible for an exemption for a tender then you get the option to select the exemption on the TDC/EMD payment page. You can select that option and proceed further for bidding.

  2. Payment through Debit Card can be made from any account or it has to be an account in the name of the tenderer?

    1. You can make the payment through any account.

  3. I have already registered MSME, am i exempt from EMD for all tenders placed by IRCTC.

    Anyone clarify please.

    1. Several categories of vendors like MSME firms, Firms registered with the zonal railway for the tendered item, Firms approved by RDSO/ PUs etc. for the tendered item etc. are exempt from payment of either Earnest Money or Tender Document Cost. Such bidders can claim exemption by selecting the Claim Exemption option on the payments page.

Bidders are advised to read the tender documents carefully and satisfy themselves about their eligibility for such exemption as is being claimed, as claiming exemption wrongly may render their offer liable to be ignored.

Please select the applicable exemption category / subcategory and then click on the Click Here link to upload the supporting document for claiming exemption. The process of uploading document and then submitting the other details is the same as explained for uploading of documents and submission of details for manual payments.
